Why Chill Factor Started

A Rider-Safety Problem Worth Solving

From Plastic Bags to Koolagain

The earliest prototypes were basic. I started with plastic bags and an idea, then kept improving the product over time.

I continued developing the construction, materials, mounting system, and cooling formula for a long time. Not until the concept became the durable, reusable Koolagain offered today. The product changed a lot, but the purpose behind it stayed the same.

Taking the Message to the Track

Chill Factor has traveled to racetracks to spread awareness about rider heat, cooling, and safety. I have attended events at Circuit of the Americas, Barber Motorsports Park, Talladega Grand Prix Raceway, Atlanta Motorsports Park, and Road Atlanta.

Along the way, I have worked with track-day organizations including Sportbike Track Time (STT) and Precision Track Days. These events let me talk directly with riders, demonstrate Koolagain, and hear real-world feedback.

The mission goes beyond selling a product. I also hand out free popsicles at the track because sometimes helping someone cool down can be as simple as that.

Growing the Chill Factor Community

Chill Factor is also teaming up with Scott Lopez from First Due Food Company to help serve riders and customers in South Carolina. This is also including the community around Carolina Motorsports Park.

Partnerships like these help Chill Factor reach more people while staying connected to the riders and track communities that helped shape the product.

What Comes Next

Koolagain is only the beginning. Chill Factor plans to keep developing ways to provide even more cooling for the motorcycle world while also expanding into demanding high-heat environments such as emergency services.

The goal remains the same: create practical cooling products that help people stay safer and more comfortable when heat becomes a serious challenge.
